Garrofé abre sus puertas en la Barcelona Design Week

Last Friday we recieved many visits at Garrofé. People came to our office to get an inside look into how our agency functions, how we work and how we have carried out some of our projects.
The visit was part of an event for Barcelona Design Week, an initiative which sees companies hold open door days where anyone can get the chance to familiarize themselves with the working environment of some of the graphic design sector’s most important agencies in Barcelona.

This was the first time Garrofé participated in the event and the truth is that we did not expect to welcome so many people, our agency turned out to be a little small for the close to 60 people who signed up to the visit. After organising the visitors into three groups we were able to show them the system and explain how a packaging and branding design agency works.

Our colleagues Olga, Eva and Natsumi were in charge of explaining everything this type of project entails, from the birth of the idea to the making of the packaging itself. Furthermore, they showed them real samples of the boxes made for some of Garrofé’s clients and they were given a live show of how a cutting plotter works, a machine used to model packaging samples and to do trials before creating the final demo.

To thank the visitors we gave each person a cut out card letter, so they could be reminded of their visit to Garrofé and their taste of the world of packaging design.
